Thieves steal substantial amount of cigarettes
Police in Bangor are appealing for information after a delivery van was robbed in Bangor.
The incident occurred at around 11.45am today when the robbers approached the driver at a grocery store in the Rathmore Road area.
He was pushed into the back of the van and they made off with a substantial amount of cigarettes.
It is believed the thieves were travelling in a black Vauxhall Zafira.
The car was found abandoned a short time later in Ballykillare playing fields, and it is thought they may have transferred the goods into a white van.
Police in Bangor have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have any information to contact them.

PSNI Name Kilkeel Murder Victim As Bobbie McKee
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have named the man who was murdered in Kilkeel on Thursday, 21st March as Bobbie McKee. PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Banbridge on Friday, 12 April. Shortly after 8pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 40s had been shot in his abdomen while in the car park on Rathfriland Road. Taken to hospital, his condition has been described as serious.
