Man in court over drugs seizure

A man is due in court in connection with a drugs seizure in Ballymena, County Antrim.

Police revealed cocaine with the street value of around £120,000 was discovered after a car was searched on the Larne Road in the town on Wednesday evening.

The man, aged 32, is due to appear at Larne Magistrate’s Court charged with possession, possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a class C drug.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested. However, she has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Man due in court over drugs seizure
A 46-year-old man is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court later today facing a number of drugs charges. The man is charged with possession of a Class C drug, possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply, and cultivation of a Class C drug.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Portadown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in Portadown that it being investigated as a 'disability hate crime'. On Saturday, 24 February, at around 5.20pm, police received a report that a young man had been attacked by six teenage boys in the High Street Mall area.

Man Due In Court Charged With Kevin Conway Murder
A 27-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Monday, 29 January, charged with the murder of Kevin Conway. The man was arrested in west Belfast on 09 January, by detectives investigating the murder. Police have said that as is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.
