Plane Crash Body To Arrive Home

The body of the Londonderry man killed in Sunday's plane crash in Phuket will arrive home this week.

Aaron Toland's body will be flown into Dublin airport this Friday, before making the journey to Derry.

It is understood details of funeral arrangements will be released shortly.

Mr Toland, 23, who was on board the ill-fated flight, was confirmed dead on Monday.

He was one of three Northern Irish people known to have been on the flight, along with friend Christopher Cooley, also from Londonderry.

Mr Cooley, who remains in hospital, is expected to make a full recovery.

The relatives of the families of the two Derry men on board Sunday's plane crash at Phuket airport, made their way to Phuket yesterday, accompanied with Sinn Fein assembly member Raymond McCartney.

Ashley Harrow from Moira, Craigavon, also survived the crash but it is believed he is recovering well.

There were 123 passengers and seven crew on board the flight from Bangkok, when the flight crashed on landing in bad weather.
