Road traffic collision victim named
The man who died in a road crash near Armoy, County Antrim last night has been named.
The man was 47-year-old William Mooney from Riverview Park in Armoy. He died in a car collision on Drones Road, Armoy, near the Pharis traffic junction.
A number of vehicles were involved and at least one other person has been transferred to hospital.
Meanwhile a Catholic family has escaped injury in a pipe bomb attack on their home at Ballynahinch in County Down.
A couple and their 19-year-old son had just gone to bed early on Thursday morning when the device exploded in the front garden of their house in Hillcrest Lane.
No one was injured in the attack and shrapnel was removed and taken away for forensic examination.
MP for South Down Eddie McGrady condemned the attack and said: “This is a quiet area and people have a right to live safely in their own homes free from this type of unwarranted attack. Thankfully no one was hurt or injured in this attack which is an assault not only on the family concerned but on the whole town.”
Chief Inspector Bill Doorman of Down District Command Unit said: “This was a reckless and dangerous attack where thankfully no one was injured”.

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.

Appeal Following Fatal Collision On Curr Road
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision on Tuesday, 05 march between Omagh and Ballygawley. Shortly before 7.25pm on Tuesday evening, police received a report of a collision on the Curr Road involving a white BMW 320 and blue Scania lorry.
