Motorcyclist Is Latest Road Fatality
A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident near Belfast.
The man was travelling on the Old Holywood Road when the incident happened.
It is believe the crash happened after 8.40pm, no other vehicles were involved.
Yesterday afternoon, a woman died following a car collision in east Belfast.
The two-vehicle pile-up happened at the junction of the Dunlady Road and the Carrowreagh Road in Dundonald shortly after 1pm.
On Tuesday, Ciara Park, 16, from Dunmurry, died after she was hit by a bus at Royal Avenue, near the junction with High Street and Donegall Place.
Yesterday, a Translink spokeswoman said: "We can confirm there was an incident in which a teenage girl died at Castle Junction involving a Metro bus.
"We extend our sympathies and condolences to the family and our thoughts are also with the driver," said the statement.
It has also emerged that a 48-year-old man was knocked down and seriously hurt in an accident in the city centre at the weekend.
He remains in a critical condition in intensive care.
