Body of missing man found in Moyola river

The Police Service of Northern Ireland are investigating the death of a young man whose body was recovered from a river in County Londonderry.

Barry John McBride, 21, from Cloane Road in Draperstown was last seen late on Sunday night at St Patrick's Street in the town.

His body was recovered on Monday afternoon in the Moyola River by police who have since made an appeal for anyone who may have seen Mr McBride before his death to contact them on 028 79 633701.

The young man will be buried on Thursday May 16 and mass will be said from The Holy Rosary Church in Draperstown at 11am.
