Roads Victims Named
Police were last night appealing to anyone who witnessed a crash that left two motorcyclists in a serious condition in hospital in Co Fermanagh to contact them.
The appeal came as the names of two Scottish people killed in an earlier Co Down road accident were revealed.
Ronald Malloy, 59 and Jean Malloy, 61, from Bannockburn, died when their car hit a lorry parked on the hard shoulder.
The tragic victims were believed to have been the driver and front-seat passenger of a car which hit a lorry parked on the hard shoulder of the main road to Dublin, near Newry.
No one was in the lorry when the incident occurred on the A1 Newry Road between Loughbrickland and Newry at about 1.30pm on Friday last.
The road was initially closed and a diversion put in place after the tragedy.
The Fermanagh accident was at Concession Road, Newtownbutler, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The two men being treated in hospital are in their early 20s.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information to contact them as soon as possible.
It has also emerged that an 18-month-old baby boy was among those taken to hospital after a separate road crash in Co Antrim.
The two-car collision happened on the Crosshill Road in Larne on Sunday night.
It is understood two of the adults have serious injuries, while the others - including the baby - are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, across the border, four people have also died in a series of separate road collisions over the past two days.

Appeal For Information On 'Nasty' Robbery In Omagh
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a "nasty" robbery in Omagh. Police received a report, that at around 1.30am on Monday, 19th February a man aged in his in his 40s was cycling in the Cranny Road area of the town, alongside the river, when he was set upon by a group of six people, dressed in dark clothing with hoods up.

Health Minister Urged To Commit To Date For Free Hospital Staff Parking
The SDLP have called on the Health Minister to commit to a firm date for the introduction of free hospital parking for staff. Opposition Health Spokesperson Colin McGrath was speaking after second stage of the Hospital Parking Charges Bill in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Health Minister To Seek Deferral Of All Hospital Parking Charges
Health Minister, Robin Swann, has announced that he will seek a deferral to legislation to remove all hospital parking charges from 12 May, 2024. Minister Swann said that he will ask the Assembly to defer the measure for a two year period.
