DUP Welcomes Jet2 Jobs Announcement

DUP MP for South Antrim, William McCrea, has welcomed the news that Jet2 is to significantly expand its business in Northern Ireland with the creation of four new routes from the International Airport and the delivery of an additional 39 new jobs based at the airport as well as 47 new air crew jobs.

The expansion, which will see new routes offered to Rome, Zante, Prague and Gran Canaria will also safeguard existing ground staff jobs.

He said: "This is a significant announcement for the International Airport and represents a vote of confidence in the staff and management of the airport. I am pleased that Jet2 should have chosen to make this significant investment in the South Antrim area, which will provide a significant boost to the Northern Ireland economy."
