Business Start-Ups Rising |
|
Despite the economic downturn, thousands of people in Northern Ireland are considering or are in the process of starting a business, a local business web-site has claimed.
In the last month alone, nibusinessinfor.co.uk said that it has seen a "huge rise in traffic", with over 15,000 hits on the web-site's business guides related to starting a business.
The web-site also reports 170,000 visits since April this year, with over 30,000 visits in October 2009, the highest visitor traffic numbers since the site was launched in 2006.
Between April and October 2008, the web-site received 95,652 visits, while the same period in 2009 saw 168,802 hits, representing an increase in traffic of 75%.
The website has also reported an increase in the number of hits on their starting up section, rising from 60,451 between April and October 2008 to 86,413 for the same period in 2009, representing a 43% increase.
