Redgrave Meets Business Bosses

Gold Medal winner Sir Steve Redgrave is to address an audience of local business leaders and managers later this month.

Belfast-based management development and events company, Podiem, has announced that the 'Raise Your Game' seminar, will be delivered in partnership with the Ulster Sports Academy and Ulster Business School, and will take place at Portadown Rugby Club on 24th June from 12.30pm to 3.00pm.

Following the recent success of the inaugural seminar, Podiem Co-Director Kevin Kelly is confident that this event will be equally as popular with the business community in Northern Ireland: "The first seminar in series in May was hugely beneficial for all who attended and the panel of sport stars delivered many valuable lessons in management and leadership," he said.

"Similarly, this event will feature an impressive line-up of speakers - including five-time Olympic Gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave - and is sure to offer something for every delegate, regardless of the size or sector of their organisation."

As well as Sir Steve, speakers at the event will include Ulster and Ireland rugby star Stephen Ferris, who will share his thoughts on what it takes to win and Bill Donald, director of golf at the K Club, who will speak of his own experiences of the powerful links between sport and business.

The seminar is part of a four-day festival of sport called 'Sport Comes 2 Town', which is being run in the Portadown area on 23rd-26th June by the Ulster Sports Academy.

Co-Director Dr Nigel Dobson commented: "We have an exciting programme of activities and events planned, which aims to showcase and promote all that is good about local sport."
