Man dies after road traffic accident in south Armagh |

One man has died and three men were injured following a two-car collision in south Armagh.
Three men are in hospital - one in a critical condition - following an accident at Ford’s Cross, a staggered junction between Crossmaglen and Silverbridge around 9am on Sunday December 16.
Two of the victims were airlifted to Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry where one later died, while the other two injured were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The man who died was named as Michael Birney, aged-20 of Lisbeg Park.
All four men, believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, are said to be from the local area.
Police, who praised fire crews and paramedics who dealt with the injured men at the scene, have appealed for anyone who saw the cars prior to the accident to come forward. (AMcE) |
