Olympic Bosses Slammed Over 'Patronising' Advice

Olympic bosses have been criticised after giving so called ‘ patronising’ advice to volunteers.

The handbook released by Olympic organisers outlines how to deal with Muslim and disabled visitors at the game.

The information includes how to deal with a spectator if you cannot tell if it is a man or woman, if two gay men are holding hands or if visitors raise questions about Muslims in headscarves.

Meanwhile the workbook includes a quiz on various scenarios involving sexual orientation, gender, race and disability.

So far around 70,000 people have been given the manual titled My Games Maker Workbook.

In a report by the Manchester Evening news volunteers criticised the advice saying that it was ‘unnecessary’, ‘patronising’ and that the organiser’s should trust the volunteer’s common sense.
