NI Housing Market Sees Some Improvements |
|
Last month has saw some improvements in Northern Ireland's housing market, it has been revealed.
According to research carried out by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Ulster Bank Housing Market Survey there has been a rise in transactions in March 2012.
There were also increases in enquiries and new instructions.
However despite these positive indicators, it would seem the market still has someway to go, with many respondents still reporting falling house prices and expectations that prices will continue to fall in the months ahead.
RICS Northern Ireland housing spokesman, Tom McClelland, said:"With prices at the lower end of the market now so much more affordable and increasingly stabilising, there is evidence that if first time buyers have a deposit, there is enthusiasm to buy.
"That said, with wider economic conditions still challenging, we don't expect to see any major shift in the market."
