Ballynure Bypass Faces Criticism |
|
Plans to build a new bypass in County Antrim have been heavily criticised by farmers and business owners in the area.
The A8 Belfast to Larne Road which would bypass Ballynure is set to cost an estimated £120m- but a final decision is still to be made by Roads Minister Danny Kennedy.
Speaking about the proposal farmers and business owners in County Antrim have said the Roads Service would be wasting millions of pounds of tax-payers' money if they go ahead with a planned bypass.
They also said that the bypass would ruin the countryside and proposed that the money be used to upgrade the road rather than create the bypass.
