Queen's To Establish College In China |
|
Queen's University In Belfast has revealed that it will established a college in China with the help of the China Medical University.
The new college will be based in Shenyang and will be formally announced at a ceremony later.
Around 1,000 Chinese students will study for degrees in pharmaceutical science at the new campus. The Students will be taught jointly by staff from the two universities.
Queen's President Sir Peter Gregson has said: "Today's agreements are a sign of the powerful relationships that Queen's University has built with its Chinese partners and a symbol of the good fortune for Northern Ireland through its strengthened links with an internationally recognised super power."
This news comes as one of China's top female politicians,the highest ranking female politician in the Communist Party of China, State Councillor Madame Liu Yandong, visits Northern Ireland.
