Pensioner Dies Following Robbery |
|
A pensioner has died following an aggravated robbery at his Coleraine home.
Reports have confirmed that a 72-year-old was involved in an altercation with a thief who broke in through a window of the Glenmore Gardens property in the early hours of Monday.
Police said he died a short time later.
The alarm was raised by the man's wife, who was also in the house at the time.
The intruder was described as being tall, wearing a dark coloured coat, light grey jogging bottoms and spoke with a local accent.
It is believed he got into the house through a back window.
Police have appealed for information.
