Care Home Faces De-Registration |
|
A care home in west Belfast could face being de-registered, following concerns regarding the standard of care.
The regulatory body, the RQIA, said it had identified a range of concerns including lack of effective management, which is run by the St John of God Association.
Last month a pensioner died in a fire at the Owenvale Court Care Home on the Springfield Road.
The home currently has 47 residents.
In a statement the Belfast Health Trust said: "The trust has been working very closely with St John of God and Owenvale to provide intensive support and guidance during this period of transition.
"We plan to meet all the clients and their families in the days ahead."
Helm Housing, which owns Owenvale Court, said St John of God could no longer continue to manage Owenvale Court.
