Woman Arrested Over False Reports Of Baby Falling From A Ferry |
|
A 37-year-old woman has been arrested for wasting police time after false reports a baby had fallen into the Belfast Lough.
A major search operation was carried out, however it was called off in Thursday afternoon.
Police said they no longer believed a baby had fallen into the water.
The woman was saved 15 minutes after the alarm was raised on board the Stena Line ferry at around 6.15pm on Wednesday.
She has since been released from hospital.
