Woman Dies Following Stone Roses Concert

A woman has died following a fall while at a Stone Roses concert in Glasgow over the weekend.

The woman, 24, was among a 50,000 strong audience at the concert in Glasgow Green on Saturday night.

The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are not yet clear, and police are awaiting results of a post-mortem examination. It is understood that she was treated at the venue before being transferred to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Some 24 arrests were made during and after the concert alongside a number of fixed penalty notices.

The Manchester band were joined by Primal Scream, The View and Jake Bugg.

Woman Discovered With Fatal Injuries Named As Concert Pianist
A woman discovered with fatal injuries in Manchester has been named by police. The body of 38-year-old Natalia Strelle was found with serious head injuries on Sunday, 30 August in Newton Heath. Emergency services attended the address on Culcheth Lane at 12:45am after reports that a woman had been assaulted.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

Flights Suspended At Glasgow Airport Following Emergency
Four people were injured during an emergency evacuation of a plane at Glasgow Airport around 07.40 on Friday morning. All flights to and from the airport are currently suspended. Passengers and crew left the aircraft using the emergency exits after the captain of an Alicante-bound Jet2 aircraft declared an emergency.

Church Asked To Support Fast-Track Women Bishops Law
The first woman bishop in the Church of England could be appointed by Christmas. The general synod supports the legislation to fast-track the revision of the latest proposals and to reduce the time given to individual dioceses. This could lead to a final vote in July with the legislation approved by November.

Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.
