Security Alert In L'derry
A security alert is underway in Co L'derry.
Police have said a suspicious object was discovered at Talbot Park in L'derry this afternoon (10 April).
The area has been closed to traffic.
No further details have been released.
Fresh Arrest Over Larne Disorder
Police have said they have made a fresh arrest over disorder that broke out in Larne last month.
It is the seventh arrest made in connection with the disturbances.
It is understood a man, aged 48, was arrested by detectives on Thursday afternoon in Carrickfergus. He has been detained under the Terrorism Act and has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Last month, rioting broke out in Larne, primarily the Knockdhu Park and Ferris Avenue areas. Up to 100 people were involved. Homes and cars were destroyed in the incident and a number of people were injured.
Man Fined For Unauthorised Dwelling
A man from Co Fermanagh has been fined £28,000 for not complying with a DOE Planning Enforcement Notice.
Adrian John Orr, from Lisbellaw, was fined at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court today after he failed to comply with a notice seeking the removal of an unauthorised dwelling at the same address on the Derryclawan Road.
In addition to the fine, Mr Orr was ordered to pay the Department's costs of £438 and court fees of £13.
The charge was brought under Article 72 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 for the failure to comply with an enforcement notice seeking the removal of an unauthorised dwelling.
Mr Orr had previously been prosecuted by the Department for the same offence with fines totalling £48,000.
Women Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Two women have been convicted of benefit fraud after claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Appearing at Antrim Crown Court, Laura Downie, 27, of Coleraine claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £22,390, while failing to declare she was living with her partner. She was given 115 hours community service.
Donna Alexander, 44, of Ballymena claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £19,042 while failing to declare capital. She was given a six month prison sentence suspended for two years.
Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Fourteen Sentenced In East Belfast UVF Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. New Pilot Scheme Announced To Test Filming NI Appeal Court Judgements
A new pilot scheme to film the deliver of judgments in the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland, has been announced by the Lady Chief Justice, Dame Siobhan Keegan. It is understood that during the pilot scheme, none of the judgements will be broadcast, but the filming used to test the process and inform future decisions.

22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.

Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Detectives investigating the murder, have now charged two men, aged 27 and 29, with murder.

Man Due In Court Charged With Kevin Conway Murder
A 27-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Monday, 29 January, charged with the murder of Kevin Conway. The man was arrested in west Belfast on 09 January, by detectives investigating the murder. Police have said that as is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
