Two Arson Killers Jailed For Life

Two men have been jailed for life after murdering a family of four in an arson attack in Leicester.

Tristan Richards, 23, and Kemo Porter, 19, must serve a minimum of 35 years and 25 years respectively after setting a house on fire in a 'botched revenge attack'.

Mrs Taufiq, 47, daughter Zainab, 19, and sons Bilal, 17, and Jamal, 15 died in the fire on 13 September 2013.

Six other men, Shaun Carter, 24, Akeem Jeffers, 21, Jackson Powell, 20, Aaron Webb, 20, Cairo Parker, 17 and Nathaniel Mullings, 19, were also sentenced to manslaughter.

Carter was sentenced to 15 years and Powell and Jeffers were sentenced to 12 years. The other three are to be detained at a young offenders institute.

Man Sentenced To 20 Years Over Denis Cowan Murder
A man has been jailed for 20 years for the murder of a man in October 2000. Dialo Hall, 33, of no fixed abode was jailed for life with a minimum term of 20 years for the murder of 27-year-old Denis Cowan. He was also sentenced to 12 years for possession of a firearm with intent and possession of a firearm - this sentence is to run concurrently.

Man Sentenced To 20 Years For Burying Fiancée Alive
A 25-year-old man has been found guilty of the attempted murder of his fiancee. Marcin Kasprzak, of Penistone Road, Huddersfield, has been sentenced at Leeds Crown Court to 20 years in prison. On 28 May 2011 Kasprzak attacked bride-to-be Michelina Lewandowska, 27, at their home with a taser then bound, gagged and placed her in a cardboard box.

Faryadi Zardad sentenced to 20 years imprisonment
Afghan warlord Faryadi Zardad has been sentenced to 20 years in jail, after being found guilty of torture and hostage taking, following a landmark case which involved evidence being given via video link from another country. Zardad, 42, was handed two 20-year terms, set to run concurrently.
