Ian Watkins Loses Legal Challenge

Former Lostprophets frontman, Ian Watkins, has lost a legal challenge to appeal his 29-year jail sentence for a string of child sex offences.

Watkins, 36, is claiming he was treated too harshly when he was given his jail sentence in December 2013. He was also given an additional six years on licence.

Three appeal judges in Cardiff decided he did not have sufficient grounds to appeal.

The former singer pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences, including the attempted rape of an 11-month old baby.
