Peaches Geldof Died Of Heroin Overdose, Coroner Rules

TV presenter and model Peaches Geldof died of a heroin overdose, an inquest has ruled.

Her husband, Tom Cohen, said he believed she had started using heroin again in February this year.

His wife was on a methadone programme for her addiction and had been taking weekly drug tests. She told Mr Cohen they were clear, however he said he believed she had been lying about the results.

A police search found 6.9g of heroin in her house.

Her mother, Paula Yates, died of a heroin overdose 41.

Radiation overdose cancer patient dies
A 16-year-old cancer patient who was given a massive overdose of radiation has died. Lisa Norris, from Girven in Ayrshire, was given 17 overdoses during treatment for a brain tumour in January this year. The teenager, who was given the treatment at the Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow, was left with burns on her head and neck.

Inquest Rules Mother Died Of 'Cannabis Poisoning'
An inquest into the death of a 31-year-old Dorset woman has ruled that she died of "cannabis poisoning". A post-mortem examination found that Gemma Moss, from Boscombe, Bournemouth, had moderate to high levels of the drug in her system when she died. It is thought that she suffered a cardiac arrest triggered by the drug.

Six Arrested Over Nottingham Street Brawl Death
Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Nottingham have arrested six people. Joshua Bradley, of Bulwell, died following a suspected street fight in Thurland Street, on 08 February. Two men, aged 21 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
