Violinist Did Not Commit Suicide, Coroner Rules
A coroner has ruled a violinist did not commit suicide a week after giving eveidene at a sex abuse trial.
Frances Andrade, 48, died at her home in Surry a week after giving evidence against ex-chormasetr Michael Brewer.
Coroner Richard Travis said she died after taking a "lethal overdose".
Brewer was jailed for six years for indecency assaulting Mrs Andrade.
Appeal For Missing Man From Erdington
Police have issued an appeal to trace a vulnerable 68-year-old man who has been missing for four days.
David Weaver was last seen at his supported accommodation in Kingsbury Road, Erdington around 4pm on Monday 21 July and officers are becoming increasingly worried for his welfare.
David, who has never been missing for this long before, needs daily medication.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
Police Arrest Wanted Man
Police have arrested a man who was wanted in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl in Urmston.
A 26-year-old man was today, Friday 25 July 2014, arrested on suspicion of rape in the Sale area.
He remains in police custody.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Man Arrested For 2002 Murder Of Becky Godden
Police investigating the disappearance of Becky Godden on December 2002, have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Ms Godden was aged 20 when she disappeared in Swindon on 27 December. Her remains were found in 2011 on farmland in Gloucestershire.

Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault In Somerset
Police investigating a sexual assault in Somerset, during which a mother and child were tied up and held at knifepoint, have arrested a 59-year-old man. Police arrested the man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and sexual assault, in connection with the incident in Sydenham, Bridgewater on 21 January.

Investigation Launched Into Hotel Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a Hull hotel room. Police said they were called to the Ibis hotel on Osborne Street at 13:00 on Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman. She is yet t be identified.
