Man Found 'Having A Fit' In Street

A man was found having "a fit" in the street in Cookstown following a suspected verbal altercation with another driver, police have said.

Detectives in the County Tyrone town are appealing for witnesses to an assault on Saturday 16 August.

At about 16:35 police were called by paramedics to a report of a 34-year-old male having a fit in Orritor Street.

The man, who was the driver of a silver Vauxhall Vectra, had been involved in a verbal altercation with the driver of a black Audi A4 in Coagh Street, it is understood.

Both drivers then exited their vehicles in Orritor Street, but the driver of the Audi is believed to have punched the victim, causing him to lose consciousness and subsequently suffer a seizure.

The alleged attacker left the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services. He is described as around 6' 1" tall, well built with short, dark flat hair. He was wearing hi-vis trousers and a black fleece.

The Audi is believed to have a possible partial registration of KHZ.

Police are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who can help identify the Audi driver. The investigating officer can be contacted at Cookstown police station via the non-emergency number 101.

Woman 'Serious' Following Fermanagh Road Collision

A woman in her twenties is described as being "in a serious condition" in hospital following a road traffic collision in Fermanagh.

Two vans were involved in the collision, which occurred at about 11:20 on the morning of Sunday 17 August on the Boa Island Road, Belleek.

Three other males were also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

Elderly Couple Robbed In Newtownards

An elderly couple have been robbed in the Shackleton Walk area of Newtownards, County Down, on the morning of Saturday 16 August.

The couple were walking in the area at around 08:30 when they were approached by two masked males. The pair threatened the couple with a knife, before stealing a handbag and making off.

The victims are said to be uninjured but badly shaken. The robbers are both described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

Man Missing From Royal Found Safe

A 27-year-old man who went missing from the Royal Victoria Hospital over a week ago has been found safe and well, according to police.

Christopher Feenan, from west Belfast, had last been seen at the hospital at around 23:30 on Friday 8 August.

Following a media appeal issued on Saturday, police confirmed on Sunday that he had been found safe and well.

Body Of Man Found In Lisburn
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered in Lisburn. The body was found at a property in the Hill Street area at around 5.45pm on Tuesday, 14 June. Police are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing. A post mortem examination is to be carried out in due course. No other details have been released.

Death Of Man In West Belfast Not Being Treated As Suspicious
Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man in west Belfast. The man's body was discovered in the Paris Street area on Sunday night. Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A post-mortem is to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Police rescue man from flat fire
A 40-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a fire at a flat in Magherafelt. The alarm was raised shortly after 10pm on Thursday when a fire was spotted inside the flat at Queen Street. When police arrived at the scene an officer spotted smoke coming from under the door.
