Man Dies After Car Falls Into South Devon Lake

Police have reported the death of a man after his car plunged into a lake in south Devon.

Police say that the man's car came off the A379 in Torcross and careered into Slapton Ley, the largest natural lake in south-west England, at about 03:00.

It is understood the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. The footage shows the moment 6 men drove into the front of the building in Milton Keynes on 6th December. A total of 60 trophies were taken in the robbery.

M5 Reopens After Fatal Crash
A stretch of the M5 motorway in Somerset has reopened following a 17 car pile-up in which one man was killed. The accident happened around 7pm on Monday night, on the northbound carriageway between junctions 25 and 26 near Taunton, Devon. Devon and Somerset fire service confirmed that several other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Lake Searched For Possessions Of Murdered Woman
Police investigating the murder of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found in the boot of her car eight months ago, are searching a lake in Hampshire for her missing possessions. Paula Poolton, of Titchfield, Fareham, was discovered in her Peugeot 206 near Swanwick railway station on 28 October, 11 days after she went missing.
