Articulated Lorry Crashes Into Lincolnshire Restaurant

A restaurant in Whaplode, Lincolnshire, has been extensively damaged by an articulated lorry smashing into the front of it.

The crash happened at about 21:00 on Monday when the lorry left the road and crashed into the Spice Cottage restaurant.

No customers at the restaurant were hurt in the collision with the 69-year-old driver also escaping with only minor injuries.

Fire crews were called to shore the building in order to make it safe. An investigation into the crash is underway.

Anyone who witnessed the accident has been asked to contact police.

Woman Dies After M5 Crash

Woman 'hit by lorry' on M1
Police have confirmed that a woman whose body was found on the M1 on Thursday was hit by an articulated lorry. The north and southbound carriages of the M1 were closed between junctions 10 and 11 near Luton on Thursday, following the discovery of the woman's body shortly after 10am.

Appeal For Witnesses Of Fatal Collision In Bristol
Avon and Somerset Police have appealed for witnesses to a fatal collision in Bristol. A 35-year-old man was killed when his mobility scooter was hit by an articulated lorry at about 22:40 on Friday, 09 October in Bristol city centre. The deceased has been named by police as David Charles Stevens, of Staple Hill, Bristol.

British Teens Hurt In Canada Crash
A group of British teenagers have been injured after a coach collision in Canada. The group from Lancashire are Explorer Scouts, aged between 14 and 18, and were making their way to Toronto when the incident happened near Lindsay, Ontario, on Thursday.
