Police Appeal For Information About Missing Man From Willenhall

Police have raised concerns over the welfare of a man from Walsall who has been missing for almost a week.

Jason Whitehouse, 43 from Willenhall, was last seen on 21st August and a short time later he walked out of Walsall Manor hospital whilst he was receiving treatment.

He is white, 5ft 6ins tall, slim build, with receding hair; he was last seen wearing a grey zip up hoodie and a black t-shirt.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, or Jason himself, is asked to contact local police on 101 or the missing persons charity on 116 000.

BAM To Build £8m Development For Derby UTC

BAM Construct UK has been selected to build a new £8 million development for Derby Manufacturing University Technical College (UTC).

Designed by Maber Architects, the UTC will open in September 2015 for the first intake of students in years 10 and 12, providing young people with the skills needed in engineering and manufacturing, including the rail industry.

Derby Manufacturing UTC is a partnership between Derby College, the University of Derby, Rolls-Royce Plc, Bombardier, Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd, Derby City Council and a wide range of supply chain employers working in local manufacturing and engineering.

It is one of 50 new UTCs being developed across the country which are being developed to fill the skills gap in industry by training young engineers who have the talent and skills that employers need now and in the future.

Employers at a wide range of local businesses, including Rolls-Royce plc and Toyota UK, have been heavily involved in setting up Derby Manufacturing UTC and will continue to work alongside the organisation to provide work experience opportunities and projects for the learners.

Neil Warnock Named As Manager Of Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace Football Club have announce that Neil Warnock has been appointed as the club's new first team manager with immediate effect.

Mr Warnock has agreed a two-year deal and will lead the team this Saturday in our Premier League game at Newcastle United.

Mick Philpott Denies Involvement In Fatal Fire
The father of six children who died in a house fire has denied starting the blaze at the families Derby home last May. 56-year-old Mick Philpott denies any involvement but has told a court he has suspicions about who started the fire. He alleges that he and his children had received death threats after the family appeared on ITV's Jeremy Kyle Show.

Man Charged With Son's Murder
A man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of his son. Police were called after the seven-month-old boy was taken into the Royal Derby Hospital on Tuesday. The boy from Waterford Drive, Derbyshire, was transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he died on Wednesday night.

Man Arrested Over School Nail Bomb Attack
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing a nail bomb blast outside a school in Merseyside. The blast happened at Runnymede St Edwards school in West Derby last Friday, as pupils were leaving school for the weekend. The nail bomb had been left in a Nissan Micra belonging to a teacher at the school. No one was injured in the incident.

Toddler Dies After Colliding With Car In Derby
An 18 month old girl has been killed following a collision with a car in Derby. The incident occurred on Chartley Road, off of the Stenson Road. Emergency services attended the scene at 10.10am on 7 May. The child was taken to Derby Royal Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

29 Arrests Follow Tyne-Wear Derby
A total of 29 people have been arrested by Northumbria police following a football match between Newcastle United and Sunderland. Bottles were thrown and bins set alight as officers attempted to move crowds of people back following Sunderland's 3-0 victory over home team Newcastle.
