BIA Apologise For Delays Caused By Closed Security Lanes

An investigation is underway to establish why just one security lane was opened at Belfast international Airport on Thursday night, causing some passengers to miss their flights.

It is understood long delays were caused after just one lane was operating at the airport's security gate between 18:00 and 20:00.

Apologising to passengers for the delays the airport has said the reason for the reduced lanes at the security gates is being investigated to ensure it doesn't happen again.
