Cars Damaged In Co Down
A number of cars have been damaged in Co Down, police have said.
The incident, which is being treated as criminal damage, occurred in the Castle Heights area. Three cars parked outside homes were damaged, while another vehicle on Quay Street was also targeted.
It is thought the incidents happened some time between Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Weather Conditions To Improve This Week
The weather is set to improve this week throughout Northern Ireland, it has been reported.
According to the Met Office, the improved conditions will begin today (1 September), with sunny spells and a maximum temperature of 18 degrees. An area of high pressure will see temperatures continue to increase over the next few days.
Moira Train Station Footbridge Completed
A new pedestrian footbridge has officially opened at Moira Train Station.
The project, funded by the Department for Regional Development, represents an investment of almost £400,000.
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: "The construction project will provide increased levels of safety and convenience for passengers and I commend Translink, McLaughlin & Harvey and their steelwork sub-contractor Fabrite for completing the scheme on schedule and on budget.
"I am confident that that the improvements will be warmly welcome by everyone using Moira Station."
Orlando Bloom Attends Co Down Wedding
Orlando Bloom made a surprise appearance in Northern Ireland at the weekend, as he attended a wedding in the region.
The Hollywood actor was spotted in Greyabbey, Co Down, and was just one of many famous faces attending the wedding of local actress Flora Montgomery.
Ms Montgomery, 40, tied the knot with restauranteur Soren Jessen at Greyabbey Church on Saturday.
Other celebrities at the wedding included former footballer Ian Wright and Prince Frederick and Princess Mary of Denmark.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party made their way back to the Montgomery family's ancestral home, where a special marquee had been erected for the reception.

Landlords Reminded To Renew Registrations
The Department for Communities (DfC) has reminded landlords that registered in January, February and March 2021 to renew their registration if they're still a landlord. In February 2014, the Landlord Registration Scheme was introduced and each period of registration lasts for three years.

Homes Evacuated In Co Tyrone And Co Down
Homes have been evacuated in two separate security alerts in County Tyrone and County Down today, 19 January. In the first security alert, a suspicious object was found at at a house on the Gortgonis Road in Coalisland. A number of nearby houses have been evacuated and the public asked to avoid the area at this time.
