Asyha King's Parents To Remain In Police Custody

The parents of five-year-old Ashya King are to remain in police custody, it has been reported.

It is understood the couple, or the boy's six siblings, are allowed to visit him in hospital.

The parents' extradition hearing, being held in Madrid, Spain, has now been adjourned for three days, Sky News has said.

Last week, a major police hunt was launched after Brett King, 51, and his wife Naghmen, 45, removed their son from Southampton General Hospital without the consent of doctors, so they could seek specialist cancer treatment for their son abroad. Ashya has a brain tumour and is unable to communicate.

The couple are understood to have told the court hearing that they do not want to extradited back to the UK.
