Woman Stabbed In Walthamstow

A woman is in a critical condition after she was stabbed at a property in Hatherley Road, Walthamstow on Monday afternoon.

The woman, 24, was stabbed in the arm and neck and a six-year-old also suffered a minor injury.

DCI Philip Langworthy said: "We are investigating a serious assault on a young woman. The motive remains unclear at this stage but we do not believe this is a random attack.

"People living and working nearby may have seen something that could be of vital importance to investigators.

Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

Man arrested over canal torso find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's torso in a suitcase which was floating in London's Regent's Canal. Police were called to the Regents Canal in Islington on Saturday after a group of teenagers spotted a suitcase floating in the water. They managed to pull the case from the water and discovered a human torso inside.

Woman Fatally Stabbed At London College
Police in East London have launched an investigation after a woman was fatally stabbed at the offices of a college for overseas students. The 23-year-old victim suffered stab wounds to the neck and chest, in the St George's College office on Balaam Street, Plaistow, Scotland Yard said. A second woman was also injured in the attack.
