Police Appeal To Find Sex Offender

Lancashire Police are appealing for information to trace a missing sex offender.

Byrom Cross, also known as Biaron, 24, is wanted for a breach of his notification requirements after failing to tell police about a change of address.

Cross was living at an address in Darwen but has now left the address. He has links to the Preston area

Cross was sentenced to 32 months in prison in July 2010 after he was convicted of sexual activity with a girl under 16. He was also given a Sexual Offences Prevention for 10 years, ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and disqualified from working with children.

Chancellor Announces Date Of Autumn Statement

The Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has announced that he will give his annual Autumn Statement to Parliament on 3 December.

The statement provides an update on the government’s plans for the economy based on the latest forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility. These forecasts will be published alongside the Autumn Statement on 3 December.

Man Attacked And Robbed In Hastings

A 31-year-old man has been attacked at the top of Wellington Square, Hastings, on Tuesday.

The victim was going to visit a relative between 6.45pm and 7pm when he was assaulted and robbed of £65 in cash.

He received cuts to the back of his head after being knocked unconscious.

There is believed to be one suspect who is described as a black man, aged late teens to early 20s, 6', well built and with short black curly hair. He was wearing a blue and white striped polo top.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Release Of Police Killer Described As 'Sickening'
The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.

'Skull Cracker' In Custody In London
Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.
