New Video Of British IS Hostage Released

A video has been posted online showing a British man who is believed to be held captive by Islamic State (IS).

No IS militants appear in the video, but a man is shown wearing orange and asked a series of questions.

It is understood that he is asked why hostages have been abandoned by the UK and US governments. It is claimed that a number of other governments have negotiated with IS for the release of hostages.

Foreign Office Confirms British Death On Greek Island

The Foreign Office has reported the death of British man on the Greek island of Santorini.

It is understood that the man is believed to be aged 39 and on the island on his honeymoon. Reports suggest that he died of "severe injuries" after "and incident", which it has been suggested involved a jetski.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office said it was "aware of the death of a British national" and it was "providing consular assistance to his family".

A second British man is understood to have been arrested in connection with the incident.

BBC Investigation Team Attacked In Southern Russia

The BBC have reported that an investigation team working for the broadcaster has been attacked in the southern Russian city if Astrakhan.

It is understood that the team were investigating reports of Russian servicemen being killed near the border with Ukraine.

They report that the cameraman was beaten and his camera was smashed. Recorded material that had been left in a car while the team went to a police station was later found to have been deleted.

The BBC has lodged a formal protest with Russia over the incident and called for an investigation.

BA suspends flights to Saudi Arabia over 'security concerns'
British Airways has announced that it is to suspend all flights to Saudi Arabia "due to heightened security concerns in the region". British Women Injured In Acid Attack In Zanzibar
Two British women have been reported as victims of an acid attack on the east African island of Zanaibar. The victims have been named as Katie Gee and Kirstie Trup, both aged 18. The two young women were on the island working as volunteer teachers.

Foreign Office Investigate British Deaths In Thailand
The UK Foreign Office has launched an investigation following reports that two British nationals have been found dead on a beach in southern Thailand. Local police have claimed that the bodies of a man and a woman were found on the island of Koh Tao in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gravely wounded UK troops are to be offered double the standard level of compensation. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) says that a list of reforms will see British personnel and their families given preferential treatment in health, education, housing and improvements.

Three British navy boats seized by Iran, reports claim
Three British navy vessels, manned by eight sailors, have been seized by Iran after entering its territorial waters, it has been reported today. An Iranian military source, quoted by Reuters, said that the boats were held and the sailors arrested after an incident in the Shatt Al Arab channel which divides Iraq and Iran.
