Crashed Helicopter Fuselage Recovered

A crane has been used to recover parts of the helicopter that crashed on Tuesday off the East Yorkshire coast.

On Thursday police named the two men killed in the crash as Capt Brian Bridgman (58) and John Kent (50).

The bodies of the men were recovered from the wreckage, understood to some 200ft below the cliff top at Selwick Bay, on Tuesday, but efforts to recover the helicopter have been hampered by thick fog and heavy rain.

It has now been reported that sections of the fuselage have been lifted by crane to the cliff-top.

An Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) investigation is underway.
