'Armed Siege' Ongoing In Glasgow

Armed police have responded to an "ongoing incident" in Boyd Street in Glasgow.

Police Scotland confirmed that officers armed with guns and shields had been called to a property in the city's Govanhill area at about 11:20 on Monday.

According to the BBC, police have told local people the incident is an "armed siege".

Boyd Street has been closed to traffic.

The situation is ongoing.

Two 'bomb suspects' arrested
Two suspects in last week's attempted bomb attacks in London have been arrested after armed police surrounded two properities in London. It is believed that the two suspects are responsible for the attemped bombings of a Tube train between Oval Street and Stockwell stations and the Number 26 bus in Hackney last week.

A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a bank in Liverpool. It is understood that a branch of Barclays bank in Breck Road was robbed at gunpoint at around 11:50am on Friday.
