£135k Lisburn Road Scheme To Begin

A £135,000 road improvement scheme on Moira Road at Upper Ballinderry in Lisburn is to begin on Monday 6 October.

The resurfacing of the road near Lough Road is expected to be completed by Sunday 2 November.

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said: "This scheme will deliver long term improvements for everyone in Lisburn with road users in particular being among the first to directly benefit from the investment."

Works will be underway daily between 09:30 and 16:00. It will be necessary to close one lane. Traffic management will be in operation on the site.

The road will also be closed between 06:00 and 18:00 on Sundays.

Major Lisburn Road Works Scheme Announced
A major road work scheme has been announced for the A30 Glenavy Road in Lisburn. The £308,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme will commence on Monday 17 January, will deliver significant benefits for road users and should be fully completed by 15 April 2022.
