Man To Stand Trial Over Parents' Murder
A man charged with murdering his parents in 2007 is to stand trial, Wiltshire Police have confirmed.
Timothy Crook, is accused of murdering his father, 90-year-old Robert Crook and his mother, Elsie Crook, 83, on 14 July 2007.
He was previously said to be unfit to stand trial due to mental health concerns, but in a statement Wiltshire Police said he has now been deemed fit to stand trial.
Crook, 50, will appear at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday (30 September).
He is due to face a plea and case management hearing.

'Russian tycoon murder plot' revealed
Details of an alleged plot to murder exiled Russian billionaire Boris Berezovsky have been revealed in a British newspaper. 'The Sun' reported that a Russian hitman had been hired to execute Mr Berezovsky at a hotel in London and that the attack was planned to take place within the last two weeks.

Chile's Supreme Court has declared the country's former President, Augusto Pinochet, fit to stand trial on murder and kidnapping charges. General Pinochet, who was arrested in the UK in 1998, has never stood trial for human rights violations during his rule in Chile between 1973 and 1990, despite several high profile cases against him.

Pair Stand Trial For Man's Death
Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death of 31-year-old man. Bradley Baker died after being found unconscious in Paradise Lane, off Norfolk Street, in King's Lynn, Norfolk on May 6. Mr Baker died from head injuries in Queen Elizabeth hospital in King's Lynn later that day.

The Bristol man accused of killing his own son in a tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Crete has denied the charge. John Hogan is accused of murdering Liam, six, by leaping 50ft (15m) with him and his sister from the fourth floor of a hotel in 2006. The 33-year-old's daughter Mia survived the fall.

Trial date set for newspaper's royal editor
The royal editor for the 'News of the World' is to stand trial next July charged with hacking into mobile phones belonging to the Royal Family. Clive Goodman, 48, from Putney, south-west London, was arrested following claims from Clarence House that the security of its telephone network had been breached.
