Scottish Parliament Host Human Trafficking Summit
The Scottish Parliament is to host a UK-wide summit on human trafficking, chaired by Frank Mulholland QC, the country's top prosecutor.
The summit is to be attended by the heads of the prosecution services in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The aim of the summit is to establish how the services might work together in an effort to disrupt the the trade in human trafficking.
It follows a report by the National Crime Agency (NCA) that reported that the number of potential victims of human trafficking in the UK increased by 22% between 2012 and 2013.

Man Jailed For 'Horrific' Trafficking Offences
A man has been jailed for human trafficking and prostitution offences. Imre Orsos, 40, of Chorley Old Road, was sentenced to five years and three month's imprisonment after pleading guilty to two counts of trafficking persons into the UK for sexual exploitation and controlling prostitution for gain.

Report Finds Rise In Human Trafficking
Trafficking of people into the UK is rising, the latest government estimates suggest. Last year the authorities learned of 946 victims, compared with 710 in 2010, the inter-departmental ministerial group on human trafficking said. It has said that trafficking gangs in China, Vietnam, Nigeria and eastern Europe now pose the biggest threat to the UK.

Woman Guilty Of Human Trafficking
A housewife who kept a Tanzanian woman as a modern-day slave in her Harrow bungalow has been sentenced after being found guilty of human trafficking. Saeeda Khan, a 68-year-old widow was found guilty of one count of trafficking people for exploitation under the Asylum and Immigration Act 2004 at Southwark Crown Court.
