Police Appeal For Witnesses After Man Shot In Liverpool
Police in Liverpool have appealed for witnesses after a man was chased down and shot in the back on Tuesday night.
Merseyside Police say that the 30-year-old man had just left his home in Maberley View, Wavertree, with his partner and 18-month-old child, when he was confronted by a lone gunman.
The victim fled but was chased by the gunman who shot him in the back.
The attacked happened at about 20:00 on Tuesday.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
It is understood police are also investigating if a burnt-out car found nearby in Old Mill Lane is connected to the shooting.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody

Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Police in Oxfordshire have appealed to members of the public who tried to rescue a man from a burning toilet block in Oxford to contact them. Jonathan Martin Mills, 49, from Oxford, died in the blaze on Southampton Street, Faringdon, at about 13:55 on Monday afternoon.

Police in Plymouth have said that a man, believed to be in his 30s, is being treated in hospital for head injuries after falling from a top floor flat. It is believed that the man fell some 30ft from a window on Davenport road, in the Stoke area, at about 21:00 on Tuesday. The man is being treated at Derriford Hospital.

Appeal Follows Murder Of Lee John Hook
Detectives are appealing for information in Harrow Town Centre today, two weeks on from the murder of Lee John Hook. They will be speaking to people to try and trace any witnesses they have not previously spoken to. Police were called at approximately 1:40am on Friday 22 October to Kymberley Road following reports of a man shot.
