Govt Approves Heat And Power Plant In Pembrokeshire
Planning consent has been granted for South Hook Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant in Pembrokeshire.
The project which will provide enough electricity to power 900,000 homes.
It is expected that there will be several hundred jobs created during construction of the plant, as well as around 30 full time jobs during its operation. The plant will supply around 500MW of electricity, and will also supply heat to the neighbouring Liquefied Natural Gas Plant.
The next step in the process is now for the owners of the project to make a final investment decision on the project.
Image Released Of Man Who Robbed Off Licence In Netherton
Police in Dudley have released a CCTV image of a man who walked into a Netherton off licence and ripped a gold chain from around the neck of a woman working there.
The robbery took place around 11am on Friday 5th September at the '7 til late' Convenience Store in Bush Road, Netherton.
The man is described as Asian, aged 20-30 years, 5’5 and stocky with short hair and a goatee beard.
He entered the store and approached the woman, before ripping the gold chain worth £2000 from her neck.
He then ran out of the shop and got into the passenger side of a grey Seat Leon with two other men on board.
Man Dies In Manchester Road Crash
A man has died in a collision in Burnage, Manchester.
At about 4.10pm on Wednesday 22, police were called to Burnage Lane in Burnage following reports that a blue Honda FRV had collided with a wall.
The driver, aged 58 was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
A woman, aged 26, who was sat in the back seat also suffered a serious head injury and a broken leg. She is currently being treated in hospital.
There was also an 8-year-old boy in the car, who suffered a fracture to his face and a broken nose.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Tyrone Man Arrested Over Fuel Laundering Plant
A fuel laundering plant capable of producing over nine million litres of illicit fuel a year, evading almost £6 million, has been dismantled by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). A man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and is being questioned following a raid at a private address in the Moy area this morning.

Man Dies In Accident At Toyota Factory
A 56-year-old man has died in an accident at Toyota's vehicle manufacturing plant in Derbyshire. Police were called to the factory at around 00:40 following a report that the man, understood to be a lorry driver, was trapped between to vehicles.

Second Arrest Made In Hainault Murder
A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested today in connection with the murder of Albert Wright. Police were alerted to a stabbing around midnight on Friday 25 February. The body of Albert Wright, 80 (also known as Bert) was found by his son at Albert's home in Trelawney Road. A post-mortem gave cause of death as multiple stab wounds.

Man arrested over canal torso find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's torso in a suitcase which was floating in London's Regent's Canal. Police were called to the Regents Canal in Islington on Saturday after a group of teenagers spotted a suitcase floating in the water. They managed to pull the case from the water and discovered a human torso inside.
