£80,000 Of Christmas Jewellery Stock Stolen

The owner of Argento is offering a substantial reward for information regarding a robbery from a warehouse in Craigavon at the weekend.

Around £80,000 of the jewellery firm's Christmas stock was stolen from the warehouse of courier company, Express Freight Craigavon.

Peter Boyle has said he is now offering a £15,000 reward to anyone who can provide relevant information leading to the recovery of the stock.

It is understood the theft happened overnight between 10pm on Saturday 25 and 7.45am on Sunday 26 October. Among the stock stolen was Argento's official Christmas Pandora items which had yet to be publicly revealed. The items were due to be delivered to the jeweller's 22 stores for the official launch of the new range on Thursday.

In a statement, Mr Boyle said: "This is a massive blow for us in the run up to Christmas. Someone somehow managed to figure out where our stock was. They took the four packets of our Christmas stock.

"We are offering a £15,000 reward for information that leads to the recovery of the stock. The company has come under threats before but nothing like this, the stock that has been stolen is extremely unique. The Pandora Christmas Collection has not even launched in the UK so cannot be purchased anywhere."

Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact Lurgan Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, or if they prefer to remain anonymous, they can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
