Father Of Sarah Payne Dies Aged 45
Michael Payne, the father of murdered schoolgirl Sarah Payne, has died.
Mr Payne, 45, developed a drinking problem after his daughter was brutally murdered in West Sussex in 2000.
He was found dead at his home in Kent on Monday.
His daughter Charlotte posted on Facebook: "No matter what happened and how many mistakes we all made. You will always be my daddy.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save you dad. I hope you have finally found your peace and happiness."
Mr Payne broke up with his wife Sara in 2003 after 18 years together.

Man arrested over Lalia Rezk murder
Police investigating the murder of mother-of-two Laila Rezk last year have arrested a man. Mrs Rezk, 51, was murdered shortly after returning to her home in Putney in south London last November. Her daughter found her, lying in her home suffering from severe head injuries, and she died later in hospital.

Man in court over Laila Rezk murder
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 51-year-old mother-of-two Laila Rezk. Lloyd Edwards, 18, from Roehampton, southwest London was remanded in custody Kingston Magistrates' Court on Thursday. He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on March 19.

The mother of Scarlet Keeling, the teenager who was raped and murdered in Goa has arrived back in the UK to organise her daughter's funeral. Fiona MacKeown, 43, arrived in Heathrow Airport from Mumbai, India last night with her daughter's coffin.

Sara Payne Announced As Victims' Champion
The mother of murdered schoolgirl Sarah Payne, has been announced as the new Victims' Champion. Sara Payne has agreed to take on the post,which will last one year, and act as a new independent public vote for victims of and witnesses to crime.
