Man Rescued By Helicopter from Rathlin Island
A man in his 70s has been airlifted to hospital after becoming trapped in his 4x4 on Rathlin Island in County Antrim.
The man's vehicle went off road and rolled down an embankment onto the shoreline near Ballynagard Cottages at about 07:00 on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews including volunteer firefighters from the Rathlin Island Fire Station and the Coastguard responded to the incident.
The man was eventually cut free and lifted via helicopter to Causeway Hospital.
He is described as being in a stable condition and with minor injuries.

Health Minister Robin Swann has praised the work of health and social care staff, firefighters and community representatives who support residents of Rathlin Island. The Minister visited the island where he met members of the Rathlin Development & Community Association (RDCA) as well as the local nursing team and volunteer firefighters.

Emergency Rescue station opens on Rathlin
The first joint Rescue Station between a fire and rescue service and the Coastguard in the UK is set to open tomorrow on Rathlin Island. The Emergency Rescue Station is in association with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).

Woman airlifted from Rathlin Island
A pregnant woman has been airlifted to hospital from Rathlin Island, off the north Antrim coast, after there were complications when she went into labour. A helicopter from RAF Prestwick in Scotland was dispatched to the island at around 3.30am, after a request for assistance from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Storms Stop Searches For Missing Man
Searches for a man swept out to sea at Ramore Head in Portrush on Saturday have been hampered by poor weather conditions. A search by the police and coastguard did resume on Sunday morning, but strong winds made conditions too dangerous to continuing searching. It is understood the missing man is 38-years-old and is a Polish national.
