Road Improvement Works For Armagh

A road improvement scheme, valued at £600,000, is to begin in Armagh.

Preparation works are already underway, with work proper set to begin over the next few weeks.

The project will see almost 4km of road resurfaced, improving the A51 Hamiltonsbawn Road, Armagh; B133 Main Street, Mountnorris; B77 Ballygassey Road, Loughgall and B132 St Patrick's Street, Keady.

Preparatory work is already underway at St Patrick’s Street, Keady and on the Hamiltonsbawn Road, Armagh. Improvements at Main Street Mountnorris and Ballygassey Road Loughgall are expected to begin on Thursday 27 November and Monday 8 December, respectively.

Each scheme is due to be completed by 13 December.

Elderly Woman Rescued From House Fire

A woman has been rescued from a house fire in Cloughmills, Co Antrim.

It is understood the fire occurred at the property at around 7am this morning (17 November).

The woman, believed to be in her 80s, managed to escape her house on the Culcrum Road home before firefighters arrived at the scene.

She was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine for smoke inhalation.

It is thought the fire was started accidentally.

Motorcyclist Remains Critical Following Crash

A motorcyclist remains in a critical condition in hospital following a collision in Co Fermanagh.

The accident occurred on the A4, between Lisbellaw and Tamlaght, at around 5pm on Saturday (15 November).

The man's black-coloured Kawasaki motorcycle is understood to have been involved in a crash with a blue-coloured Vauxhall Vectra.

Appeal Following Fatal Collision On Curr Road
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision on Tuesday, 05 march between Omagh and Ballygawley. Shortly before 7.25pm on Tuesday evening, police received a report of a collision on the Curr Road involving a white BMW 320 and blue Scania lorry.

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.
