Belfast Street Named For Eminent Scientist
A street in Belfast's Titanic Quarter has been named in honour of one of Northern Ireland's most eminent scientist, John Stewart Bell.
Bell's Theorem Crescent honours the Belfast scientist who proved Albert Einstein wrong, when he demonstrated the famous scientists views on quantum mechanics – the behaviour of atoms and subatomic particles – were incorrect.
John Stewart Bell is considered one of the 20th Century's greatest physicists, who is believed to have been in line for a Nobel Prize in 1990 when he died unexpectedly following a stroke.

Chief Constable Criticised For Not Inviting UUP To PNSI Graduation
The Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) has criticised PNSI Chief Constable, Jon Boutcher, for his failure to invite their party leader, Doug Beattie, to the PSNI Graduation Ceremony. UUP member of the Policing Board, Mike Nesbitt, said: "For the avoidance of doubt, I welcome the fact Michelle O'Neill MLA will attend in her capacity as First Minister.

Belfast Named As 2025 Host Of Oireachtas na Samhna
Belfast has been announced as the host for the oldest Irish language and arts festival on the island of Ireland, Oireachtas na Samhna. Belfast City Council has welcomed the news that its bid to host the event, which attracts up to 10,000 participants and spectators each year, had been successful.
