Titanic Belfast Security Alert Ends

A security alert at the Titanic Belfast building has ended.

A suspicious object had been discovered at the venue at around 9.45am on Wednesday by police on Olympic Way.

Nearby roads were closed to traffic and an Army bomb squad was sent to the scene.

The item was examined before being declared as "nothing untoward".

The roads have since reopened to traffic.

A visit to the Titanic building by His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex went ahead as scheduled.
