MP Claims LU Worker Sacked For 'Having Epilepsy'

A 29-year-old female Tube worker has been sacked for having epilepsy, Labour MP Kate Hoey has claimed.

The former minister claims that Karen Guyott has been "dismissed due to her epilepsy", around five years after her diagnosis.

It is claimed that following an incident in January, London Underground (LU) argued that Ms Guyott's condition was "too too risky for them to be able to manage".

According to a report by the BBC, LU said that it "remains committed to supporting staff with medical conditions", but would not comment on individual cases.

Ms Hoey has called on the Health Minister Norman Lamb to review Ms Guyott's case.
