Two People Assaulted In Belfast

Two people have been assaulted in north Belfast.

It is understood a man, aged 21, has been arrested in connection with the attacks.

At around 3am on Sunday (1 March), an 18-year-old woman and 46-year-old man were attacked in the Castleton Avenue area. The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which have been described as not life-threatening.

Police have said a 21-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Four Charged In Connection With Blake Newland Murder
Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Detectives investigating the murder, have now charged two men, aged 27 and 29, with murder.

Man Assaulted In Ballycastle
A man has sustained a serious head injury after being assaulted in Ballycastle. The 28-year-old was attacked on Castle Street at around 2.30am on Sunday, 29 October. A 32-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of grevous bodily harm. The victim is currently being treated in hospital.

15-Year-Old Arrested Following Stabbing In Lisburn
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.
