Funeral held for teenager drowned at sea

The funeral of drowned teenager Jordan Murdoch is set to take place in Co Down today.

The 14-year-old died after falling from a pier into the sea at Killough on January 11. Nearly two weeks later, his body was found a short distance from where he had disappeared by a woman walking her dog.

Coastguard staff and volunteers involved in the search for Jordan will attend today's service which is being held at St Joseph's Church, Killough.

The teenager had only recently moved to the coastline village from Belfast.

Drowned teenager's body found near Killough pier
The parents of tragically drowned teenager Jordan Murdoch are expected to receive their son's body home today after the process of formally identification is completed. The body of the 14-year-old boy was found shortly before lunchtime on Sunday, just 200 yards from the spot were he fell into the sea at Killough pier on 11 January.
